WYAC's ACE mentors help students win award

Congratulations to Southwest High school!

Under the category of Transportation/Road Systems Challenge. The ACE Mentor San Diego, CA/Southwest H.S. Team received the 1st Runner up for their “U.S. Mexico Pedestrian Crossing Area at the San Ysidro Port of Entry”. Over 40 schools submitted their projects for the Ninth Annual CIRT-ACE National Design Competition.  In addition to their award, Southwest High School earned an accumulative scholarship amount of over $17,000!!! Special thanks to all the mentors including our own Luke Elingwood and Rey Rebolledo for their tremendous efforts in helping these students reach their future goals.
