The Ranch House, located within the Del Sur community of Black Mountain Ranch, is a triumph in sustainable design and a vision of leadership toward building more efficient and greener communities. This project earned the honorable distinction of being the first LEED Platinum certified building in the western United States.

Specifics:

• Landscape design features mature olive trees, sage, grassland and extensive use of native and indigenous plant material.
  
• Sustainable hardscape design elements include porous concrete and cobble swales for stormwater management.
  
• Recycled lumber mulch (from on-site construction waste) and indigenous cobble rock were used throughout the project.
  
• Irrigation system utilizes controlled monitoring including rain sensor, ground moisture sensor and high efficiency spray and drip components.
