The rural agricultural character of the San Pasqual Valley presents opportunities to blend agrarian landscapes with natural canyon chaparral. The landscape theme developed for San Pasqual Academy is based on educational and interactive activities to engage the students. The landscape design establishes a blend of indigenous plants to the region which are highly sustainable and require low water use and maintenance. The design extends an existing citrus grove into the campus creating a rural farming influence. Natural rolling hillsides to the south are planted with additional inland chaparral to create a rustic edge.
